that's b/c there are too many stupid arse poosies out there...
can't ever win that battle...
how in dafuq did we make it with $4+/gal post Kat ... fk'n crayfish are still stupid high ... that was 20 friggin' years ago...
My wife and I were laughing at the outrage of a 30 cent increase in the price of gas when we lived through a jump from about .32 cents a gallon to $2.10 a gallon and rationing lines to pump it in less than 2 years of the Carter administration. These youngsters ain't seen nothing yet. The threat of COVID had everyone wearing masks (won't stop a virus) and sequestered in their homes. That's the worst threat to freedom, and freedom of choices yet, except for the forced vaccinations which took people's rights to determine what they put in their own bodies. And there were documented fatalities from it.
So, they get the fear part. What they haven't gotten is the depression my grandparents lived through, and my parents experienced as children and teens, and the hyper inflation from rotten foreign policies which also precluded a generation of young athletes from getting to experience the Olympic games, and for what??? Hell that really showed Russia huh!
If 30 cents more at the pump breaks you, then you were irresponsible financially already. The poor I give a pass to because they know everyday how government policies either impinge them (Obamacare which they couldn't afford and which eliminated many hospitals from taking charity cases) to WIC and other programs to benefit children but for which the criteria changes with the regime.
And you know the outrage should be directed at Minnesota where the government of their state institutionalized fraud stealing funds intended to help the autistic. But libs don't care if the ends justify the means, but they scream like hell about 30 cents at the pump. Pirorities I suppose.

Trump just said live on AF1 that it's not the case. He says he asked the Kurds to stand down, b/c he doesn't want to complicate things, that we can accomplish our goals without troops on the ground.
Confirmation:
Quote:Revealed: No orders to invade, no CIA plot – what Trump told Iraqi Kurdish leaders
Trump did not ask Kurdish armed groups based in Iraqi Kurdistan to launch a ground incursion into Iran when he spoke to political leaders on the phone, a source confirmed.

Quote:Fox News correspondent Lucas Tomlinson reported Saturday that Israeli forces struck Iranian oil refineries outside Tehran as the war with Iran continues to escalate.
Reporting from Dubai, Tomlinson said U.S. and Israeli forces are conducting strike operations at a pace comparable to the coalition’s air campaign during the Gulf War.
Part of the reason Israel has been able to sustain the long-range operations, roughly the distance from New York to Minneapolis, is the presence of about 100 U.S. Air Force aerial refueling aircraft in theater, Tomlinson said.
The USS Gerald R. Ford carrier strike group has moved from the eastern Mediterranean through the Suez Canal into the Red Sea, while the USS Abraham Lincoln strike group remains in the Arabian Sea.
The USS George H.W. Bush carrier strike group is preparing to deploy from Norfolk, potentially bringing three U.S. carrier groups into the region for a period of time.
The United Arab Emirates has been heavily targeted by Iranian missile and drone attacks, with more than 40% of Iran’s launches directed at the UAE.

Quote:The Israel Defense Forces said Saturday it carried out a precision strike targeting commanders from the Quds Force’s Lebanon Corps of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IGRC) operating in a Beirut hotel.
According to the IDF, the commanders were working to advance terror plots against Israel from Lebanese territory.
The military said the Quds Force’s Lebanon Corps acts as a liaison between Iran’s IRGC and the Hezbollah terror organization, supporting Hezbollah’s military buildup.
The IDF said it took steps to minimize civilian casualties before the strike, including the use of precision munitions and aerial surveillance.
“Prior to the strike, steps were taken to minimize the chance of harm to civilians,” the military said.
Israel added that it will continue targeting Iranian commanders operating in the region.
Because they know who was behind all those IED attacks in Iraq and Afghanistan—as well as the random rocket attacks on our bases that continue to this day.
