That would be a sweet defeat and huge for the WAC.

UTA wins 11-8. Mavericks needed that 9 run first inning!

good to win after getting swept at NWState. weak on offense and pitching both in those games. we still just 16-44 against the frogs but many of those have been great games. pitiful turnout for the game tho. some of our Globe Life games have had several thousand but only a few last night. no longer a big deal to play there I guess.

The Cats fall to DBU in Dallas pretty heftily, 3-12.

Congrats UTA.

Eight runs against Northwestern State in three games, one a 14-inning affair, two runs against TCU in eight of the nine innings equals ten runs in 40 innings.

That nine run first against the Frogs looks like the exception.

Well done Mavs!!! Always like the WAC (and soon, the UAC) beating those in the Big 4 or 5 levels.

I'm hoping for continuing good results in baseball to help us forget the amazing collapse of basketball teams the last few weeks.

Just curious about your conference schedule with seven baseball members. How many conference games do you play? A full round robin would only be 18 games so do you play some twice? Does everyone have a series scheduled on weekends where they are the odd man out in conference play?

If you look at our schedule, it is all wonky between conference and OOC.

looks like baseball and softball gonna also be weak this year. the baseball team at 2-6 is off to Arkansas for 3 games against the #8 hogs and the gals cant seem to get anything going either. just an all around sucky time to be a UTA sports fan.

and just like that the Mavs sneak up on the Hogs beating Arkansas 4-3. a 2 hitter shut out till 2 outs in the 9th inning.

Tarleton defeated Creighton 8-7 and ACU fell to Texas State 4-5.

These games were played at the minor league ballpark in Cleburne.

Today we have Tarleton vs Texas State and ACU vs Creighton.

While Tarleton is just starting their game with Texas St., ACU came out on top of their slugfest 12-11 with Creighton.

Ya'll kept it close for a while and then tried to make a little game of it towards the end, but then it just broke loose.

Did they? Would've been nice to get a broadcast. Kinda ridiculous that there wasn't one.
