This is just a way for Democrats to blame Biden's inflation on Trump. Its Democrat and MSM propaganda.
And y'all have all bought into it.
Safe to say that everyone who is moderate to right wing understand exactly what it means for costs to stabilize due to inflation being better controlled. However, your typical low info voter along with those who don't a good working knowledge of economics won't understand it. Trump and the administration need to make that case. They're not doing a great job of it though. My opinion.
Inflation was down by end of 2024 to ~trump 1st term too. This isn’t trumps doing.
Powell even mentioned tariffs are helping keep inflation higher which anyone with common sense already knew
Greatest damage by far was done in the Biden years. That's why he (Kamala) was booted. Kamala was also a flaming idiot and the voters realized she was low IQ so that factored in as well.
i'm not arguing that, although a large amount of inflation seen in 2021 and into 2022 was from Trumps CARES act, 2 rounds of stimulus and corporate welfare. Only that this idea that Trump "inherited" high inflation in 2025 is untrue.
I would say its just to distract from his failed economic policies. But actually I think the tarrifs are doing exactly what him and his coconspirators desire: regressive tax on lower and middle classes in preparation for another big wealth transfer to the top 1%.

I voted for Clinton in his 1st term. Never repeated the mistake.

Do not bet on Mtg rates dropping that much at least not in 2026.
The current yield curve is still in a U shape. What that means is that the 10 year (which is a primary indicator of Mtg Rates) will not come down much as the expectation is that short term rates have a ways to go to get back to a more normal upward rising rate structure.
It will likely take 2 more moves (or another 50BP) just to get flat on the short end.
I take everything the Fed says with a grain of salt, but they only projected 1 move next year. When Hassett (or whomever) gets in, there will be pressure for more drops than just 1, but until that happens, it hasn't.
I work with people that are getting 5.75% rates now. 5% is the magic number. When rates get there, there will be a Re-Fi boom. What nobody in the National media talks about is Homeowner's insurance rates. They have gotten out of hand. I am coming in contact with a lot of borrowers that had paid off homes that are doing a small (20-25% of value) cash out refi just so they can have an escrow account so they don't have to stroke a check every year for taxes and insurance. These are typically 15 year loans in the high 5% range.
On top of that, Im seeing insurance companies require new roofs on homes that are only 10 years old or so as a condition of extending coverage during some sales transactions. And the fact your home is not involved in a transaction wont necessarily save your from this phenomenon. In some cases, spot inspections of a companies current insurance coverage portfolio are requiring new roofs simply as a condition to renew an existing policy.

I think you miss his point. He is saying if Republicans support the AI data centers then he'll vote Democrat.
That would be a cut your nose off to spite your face moment.

That makes it sound like the Democrats WON'T support the AI data centers. Democrats will get paid by the same people to get it done.
There's an AI center being built by Musk here in Memphis. I can guarantee you there were no republicans involved in that negotiation, not if it was a decision limited to City of Memphis and Shelby County personnel.

Soon, we may not have to worry about Democrats or Republicans. We will have a common enemy in AI. It won't care what political persuasion a person is; it will just know it's an organic being with a brain, and it needs to be eliminated.

It looks as if the left's propaganda spin machine is having some positive effects for them in here.

who’s y’all??? … I’ve been screaming gouging since the first branch covidian check was mailed…
the only thing that will bring down pricing is when people run out of $$$ … the price point has been set…
One thing has been consistent in my life: once a seller realizes he can charge more money for his product, regardless of the reason, that product's price will never go back down unless there's a sale on it.
My widget cost 25 bucks in 2020, today it sells for 50. The only way that seller is going to bring the price back down is to put that widget on sale for 50% off for special occasions so you can feel like you're getting a deal today in 2025.

I had my roof replaced about 4-5 years ago, and State Farm paid for it. Then they dropped my coverage. I replaced the policy through AllState, and the premiums went up every year, so I started looking around online. I went to State Farm just to see and never even finished the application.
The very next day my wife's agent from State Farm called and asked if I was interested in some insurance. I told her that yes, I had been shopping around, but that they likely wouldn't insure me again, as they had forced me out previously. She told me not to worry about that and came back with a homeowners policy that beat the crap out of the coverages my AllState policy carried and for about 600 bucks less a year. Where do I sign, quick!
I then mentioned I had bought a new-to-me 2023 Ram truck, and would she quote me a policy for that one? It turned out to be less expensive than a liability-only policy I had on my red 2014 Ram. So I asked about insuring both the new white Ram and the 14 Red Ram. Both policies came in at 25 bucks a month cheaper than the one liability policy at AllState.
It was the most fun I've had shopping for insurance since the dogs ate my baby brother.
