Kinda funny citing this as a reason when the left screams white privilege 24-7. Seems to me getting that out of the equation would have lifted Oakland to new heights instead it’s a cesspool.

For a long time, Staten Island served as a kind of refuge within NYC for the types of people that “white flight” usually refers to.

But demographic change has been creeping up even there.
I think the Mamdani-era of NYC will see that trend accelerate.

Well, he did say “white neighborhoods” need to pay higher tax rates. So in addition to not understanding how the state tax system works, he also has no working knowledge of the Constitution nor Civil Rights legislation.

He just turned 34. Never had a real job. He doesn't really know much about anything.

And he was born in Uganda to wealthy parents, so he really has no empathy for America, either.
