He probably did tell the truth, the punishment that Trump is going for is the investigation. He doesn't give a **** if the person is actually guilty.

Sounds exactly like what the Dems did to him. They sure don’t like when Trump pours a huge dose of their own medicine down their lying throats

I'm just going to make a guess here, Trump and company know this is something you'd be able to find almost everyone with any level of wealth and assets does. I'd bet if you wanted to dig around on the other side for this type of crime you'd find it at exceedingly high rates, and they know that. I'm personally fine with opening this can of worms. I ain't going to lose any sleep over these people I don't like either being hassled for crimes they probably are guilty of and the future mortgage and tax fraud investigations of Stephen Miller and company will be hilarious to watch.

I was about to say, wasn't Swalwell the one that was honeypotted by a Chinese spy?

The best thing about all this is Trump and I actually have a surprising amount of overlap on who would be on our "enemies list." Swamp creature Adam Schiff isn't at the top but he's on it. With the not nearly soon enough death of Dick Cheney Bolton has now leapfrogged to probably the tip top of the enemies list. If the Trump admin manages to have John Bolton sent to prison that would be what would truly make Trump deserve a Nobel Peace Prize. Jailing him would be the most justice from a court for a War Criminal since arguably the Nuremberg Trials.

What would disqualify him is being stupid enough to have Bolton in his first administration.

But, he was smart enough to know that Bolton was/is a dirtbag and sent him scurry away. There were a lot of people he hired for his cabinet because he really didn't know them well the first time but he wised up and gave them a swift kick to backside.

As for someone who stated that everyone is guilty of mortgage fraud, nope, I'm too poor to have 2+ homes. What you see is what I got.

It was me who said that, and I think you missed the part where I said I suspect very high numbers of people with high levels of wealth and assets who own multiple homes would be doing this. Maybe not every single one of those people, but I'd be pretty confident you could find this if you really wanted to across the board and that's why the Trump admin is looking here as the first step on going after his enemies list.

So you have never made a mistake? Goody for you - you are on a list that includes one person - ever.

RE: Trump admin refers Swalwell for investigation over mortgage fraud allegations
Where did he vote and where did he pay taxes?

He either gets to admit he provided false info for his mortgage or that he doesn't have a permanent residence in California. That's the list.

Swallwell appears to be so far in debt he can't afford the permanent residence in his own congressional district. In CA he lists a 4 bedroom house that some other family of 5 lives in as his "residence".

I'm it sure there is a comparison.

When you take out a mortgage you sign a dozen affidavits, disclosures and acknowledgements that warn you not to provide false info or your be prosecuted and have the mortgage note called due to fraudulent info.

All of this just to save a bit on a monthly payment. Something that's this easy to establish? It's iidiotix they keep stepping on rakes.

How many Congress critters you think are refinancing all of the sudden? 03-lmfao

Hiring well known Iraq War cheerleader/liar/man most responsible for it happening behind only Cheney himself ain't a "mistake" you just let go, especially when one of the things that got you the nomination was ending Jebby Bush over the Iraq War. Hiring Rumsfeld would have been just about as easy to defend.

Now kudos for Trump and company for trying to imprison this war criminal, but have to take a lot of that credit away since the only reason he's doing it is that he stopped supporting Trump unconditionally. If he was carrying water for Trump still these charges wouldn't exist, and of course he's not being charge for any of his war criming.

Probably none of the ones in the GOP currently, but they'd be smart to do it soon.

Prosecute them all.

If you are too stupid to know what's a principle residence you shouldn't be in Congress.

Ain't about being too stupid, think this is just one of those things the rich/powerful just exploit knowing that it's basically never prosecuted. I'm fine with it, prosecute them all, but I have a feeling we'll happen to see a bunch of Trump's enemies list getting charged with this and no one else.

So prosecute them. That's how it's supposed to work.

Fine by me, as long as there's no crying a few years from now when all of a sudden only people on the right get prosecuted for this crime. I'll be perfectly happy with that trade off, but I don't think this board will view it the same way.
