Definitely was the difference-maker vs us. He's arguably the best QB in the MAC, & there's quite a few good ones despite the top teams being more defensive

We own the tiebreaker over UT, so gotta think we want Toledo.

Either NIU has suddenly found a groove or UMass is really painfully bad.

I’m a little worried we barely beat umass 21-3 and NIU is crushing them.

If we don’t come ready to play we can easily lose next week in Dekalb.

We barley beat them 21-3….

CMU now up 24-13 after a home run ball connects

CMU now leads Buffalo 24-13.

If we end this night with both other 1-loss teams going down to 2 schools we have the tie-breaker advantage, it’d be a productive night.

Yeah, that NIU QB they inserted in there and that score does concern me.

It is funny because they usually wait until our game to put in the backup that leads them to an unexpected victory. Glad we are getting tape on this guy now.

I don’t know that I’d call 21-3 “barely winning,” but anyway yeah we didn’t play very well. I’m not so much worried about NIU themselves- UMass just really sucks- but it is concerning that we haven’t really put together a good effort on the road yet this year.

I think they said early on in the game tonight that the new NIU QB starter likely would’ve been their starter early on this season but had hand surgery and is just now coming back. The announcers said he’s more of a threat to pass than the other QBs they’ve been using but still mostly a runner. Big dude! Like someone said, we’d better be ready!

Toledo winning tonight puts them in second place.

I’d hate to play them in Detroit, they’ve really found their stride late in the season, would be a tall task.

They still have ball state and cmu left.

You're in luck. We beat Ball St 42-0 and NIU only beat Ball St 21-7.

21-7 is barely beating a team even less than 21-3.

So, we're good.

Miami 4-2 (Miami owns tie-breaker)
Ohio 4-2 (WMU owns tie-breaker)
CMU 4-2 (WMU owns tie-breaker)
Toledo 4-2 (WMU owns tie-breaker)
Ball State 3-2 (WMU owns tie-breaker)

Buffalo and Miami play each other, so one of them will have 3 losses. So if we win just 1 game, whether it's NIU or EMU, we're one of the two teams in Detroit, right?
