Yeah, he can't. However, there appears to be some people pissed about a provision that allows the Republican Senators whose phone records were secretly taken by the gov't to sue. If the House Republians decide to remove that language then this shutdown may not be over as it would have to go back to the Senate for another vote.

The House will vote on the exact legislative language that passed the Senate. It is up to Mike Johnson &co. to make sure it passes.

So far, I only know of two Democrats who are voting in favor of it (Golden from ME and Cuellar from TX). Haven’t heard from any GOP’s but I assume Massie (KY-04) will be against.

Still not sure why they stuck that language in there. That should have been for a bill all on it's own.
