She flipped through 42 pages at least, going back and forth, and she finally just closed it without ever settling on a page. I don't believe she said one thing of substance, but she sure was kind to the inmates and others who appeared before her. She is a complete DEI hire.
And of course there was yet another continuance after the defense attorney was told two court dates prior that the next time he came to her court, he'd better be ready to set a trial date. Our justice system is completely broken.
This is painful to read. It must be hell to live through.

Don't think it hasn't crossed my mind. I would be no better than him, though. And that isn't what bothers me. I wouldn't care how I was perceived. What bothers me is that I would be committing a cardinal sin and usurping what God has claimed as his right, vengeance.
Pre-cancer I wouldn't have thought that way. I would have found a way to remove him from the equation that didn't implicate me.
I wouldn't mourn his death at all, but neither will I put my soul at risk by taking a life that isn't threatening my own. That doesn't stop me from wanting to see justice brought to bear to its maximum extent. I wouldn't lose a moment's sleep watching him fry in the chair.

I had to leave before I went viral on youtube for attacking a kid in a wheelchair. I won't do it, but that doesn't mean I don't want to.

I couldn't possibly agree more. It seems the only ones who are assured of a speedy trial are those who cannot bond themselves out. They are the priority. We can't violate that 6th amendment. Those who are able to make bail are not a priority. This could take two years to go to trial.
His attorneys tried to plea bargain with the DA for involuntary manslaughter, a Class C felony that could net him a minimum of two years. The DA to his credit, told them to take a hike. He didn't even bother consulting us, as he knew what we would say. He's a dedicated public servant and appears to be very conscientious but extremely overworked.
