Just because I don't agree with Trump from time to time does not mean that I'm some sort of lefty (outside of my dominant hand, I am a strong lefty there).

Me too---but in our current 2 party system---the Libertarians are never going to win an election---and Republicans are much closer to my world view than Dems....so while Im offically a registered Republican--Im one who would be considered part of the "Libertarian wing" of the GOP (frankly, I think there is a substantial number of us).

I've taken political quizzes online a few times. I always test right-leaning (strong property rights & min gov) Libertarian. I care so little that I never really looked up what a Libertarian is (until right now), b/c they hold zero power.

I actually want all parties to disappear and everybody to vote his/her own conscience. One of the worst things in Congress is people grouping together simply to win a vote.

It causes too many unnecessary pacts that create more issues. You just can't please everybody, and few people are willing to honestly compromise.

now, let's go reverse into muh hedonistic days ... after a Cure concert when X was still not illegal (it was the best), nuts and another go trampin' and ramblin' in NOLA ... somehow we end up with a pair and I swear his was a dude ... he was so fk'd up, we go back to the hotel and I parade 'em in front of 'everyone' (was a gaggle of us for that 'trip') and 'whispered', "Tony's with a dude ... STFU!"

now comes the retribution of fate in muh irony ... somehow, we end up on Esplanade at 4 a.m., and his DA flattens out the passenger side tires on the angle iron curbing a few hundo yds. away from I-10 (takin' 'em back) ... we get to the phone booth just before the underpass, (yeah, that long ago ... pre cell days) and I realize my wallet is missing ... I walk back to the Jimmy and couldn't find shite, realized I'd been ripped off, (not with a carrot) and started to walk back ... next thing around the corner pops 5 jarooneys ... I'mma gonna skip to the 9MM to my head where I told li'l jack-off, "hey motherfk'r, I lost muh wallet and me pockets are empty, do you need me to take off that watch for ya?!" (still had a twin and a quarter in muh pocket) ... it was so surreal, it became one of 'those' out of body thingys....

today, I rarely think about meeting that morn' o' death other than, if'n in today's world, I don't survive that one with or w/o muh wit ... hence, why I ALWAYS carry today...

sometimes, we escape thingys that change our lives ... I simply got lucky...

folks like that 'dude' in the pic above are doomed right out of the gate ... and yeah, Tony didn't make it 20 yrs. after ... I've lost a many ... however, the twin in the pocket got us back to the hotel and subsequently, back to the 'burg...
