Question World Series Condolences to Frank Grimes
My condolences to Frank Grimes - a true Blue Jays fan who was supportive of his team but classy when they lost.

That may be one of the best world series ever, and it is a shame a team had to lose. A 7th game in extra innings is a heck of a way to end it.

I think Randy Johnson/Curt Schilling and the Diamondbacks beating the Yankees is the recent one that comes closest to matching the magic, but I may feel that way because I hate the Yankees.

RE: World Series Condolences to Frank Grimes
As a baseball fan, hell of a World Series. Might be the best since I started really following the sport ~15 years ago.

Definitely hurts as a Jays fan, but I’m at least able to keep a pretty good perspective about it. O/U for the team was like 77.5 wins coming into this season, off a last place finish last year, and managed to win the division, knock the Yankees out of the playoffs, and play in one of the best World Series in recent memory against the modern day Evil Empire. Hard to be mad, more bummed out than anything with the missed opportunities.

Ready for April already.

How are you a Jays fan? Are you from Canada?

The minor league team where I grew up (Knoxville, TN) was a Jays affiliate in the 90s, and went to a game when I was young. Ended up getting a signed baseball after the game.

Probably a decade or so later I looked at the ball (I wasn’t into baseball growing up), and was curious if the guy had ever made it to The Show. After some googling, found out he was a pretty good player named Roy Halladay, and just started following him and his starts, and it slowly turned into a love for the team.

My folks aren’t much into pro sports (except for my dad being a Miami Dolphins fan, which unfortunately was passed down to me), so admittedly my favorite teams are literally all over the map as I’ve developed experiences in life lol.
