Wow, we agree on something. The issue is that DST is a relic of our agrarian past, where most families needed that extra hour of sunlight in the work day in the growing months.


Kind of why most 1st - Sr schools have 3 months free in the summer. Makes more sense now to do a trimester school with a month off in between as opposed to '3 months off for growing and harvesting.'

the 'burg is a li'l too close to the eastern time zone for my liking ... if I lived in Youston to El Paso, it wouldn't much matter which one was chosen on a permanent basis...

You might in El Paso. El Paso is in Mountain time by 80 miles. Rest of Texas is in Central time.

Took me several weeks in spring for my internal clock to get right.
