It was a few years before my time (born in '84) and I didn't know much about him.

My and I watched the Ed Gein series on Netflix. I think it is part of the Monsters series. The movies Psycho, Texas Chainsaw Massacre and Silence of the Lambs were all based off of what he did. Poor Bastard. The dude that played him was amazing. I have no idea what he really looks or sounds like.

I watched it too. It was way better than I expected.

and there ya have it when it comes to 'tastes' ... that one was wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy tooooooooooooooooooooo slooooooooooooooooooooooow for me ... and I'm a Yuge fan of Charlie Hunnan's work (he was great in Green Street Hooligans and The Gentlemen)

That's a great show. I finished season 3 last night. If you haven't watched "The Americans" I highly recommend it. It also stars Kerri Russel.

I tried to watch The Diplomat because I thought The Americans was great but couldn't develop any interest in it. I guess I'll try again, although I was the same way with The Sopranos, so...

I really did want to like it because, well, Kerri Russell.

The Diplomat is in no way as good as The Americans, imo. Both are good, but The Americans takes it to a whole different level.

It's a remarkable, gripping movie.

Like the rest of you, I hated the ending. (Or, more to the point, absence of an ending.) Yet I am still recommending it. It is well worth watching.

Agreed. Dumb movie. The third story totally lost me. One second the POTUS is in the Oval Office, the next he is in NYC. Then he is in the car with no traffic going to an airstrip no one else is at. Dumb ending. Somehow stuck Angel Reese in the movie. Must have been one of those Obama productions.

lol. It’s worth watching—but the ending does suck.

AGREE, have the balls to finish it one way or the other.07-coffee3

Agreed. I figured it would end with the missile being a blank and landing in the Lake. Anything. The longer the movie got the less I wanted to watch. The First lady being on a Safari in Africa? Really? And please choose an actor that plays the POTUS that is at least an American that doesn't have to fake an "American" accent. Movies in foreign countries don't cast American actors that fake the other country's language.

"The Americans" is fantastic. I think its on Hulu. For many of us here that already pay for ESPN+, the bundle that includes ESPN+, Disney Plus, and Hulu is a pretty good deal. There is some surprisingly good stuff on Hulu and if you have kids---the Disney Plus thing is a nice option. Too bad Disney messed up the Star Wars and Marvel franchises---but the older stuff is still there to enjoy.

After watching this, binge The Chose on Amazon Prime.

5 seasons
8 episodes / season

40 episodes total.

Season 6 is underway and will be released next year in theaters before it goes to Prime.

Yeah, she was the reason for it, at least for me. She's a great actress and back then was a real looker.

So, I watched it, and it really was pretty enjoyable. The ending just sets it up for Part 2 or, who knows, maybe a Netflix limited series. As for the ending, I simply assumed that Chicago had suffered a nuclear attack and that a nuclear war was imminent. There's so much more potential material available that it could be a fantastic series.

It didn't really feel like the end; it felt more like a season finale.
