Due to my location being a 12 hour difference from East Coast time, it makes it pretty difficult to follow the world series in real time. Yesterday was more of the same for me - I was at a local conference and nobody was really paying much attention. There are a bunch of Ohtani fans here in Asia, but no one else seemed to be paying attention to the game either.

At lunch, I check the score, thinking it was over. No such luck as it is tied 5-5 and going to extra innings. And it keeps going, and going and going. Now, I am not paying attention to the speaker at all, getting the pictch-by-pitch updates. I look around, and it seems other people are also paying more attention to their phones than normal.

I finally see Freeman hit a homerun, and it doesn't register that the game is over. I can't see the celebration at the plate, and I think the game is still going to continue. Let's play another inning. It doesn't hit me until a few minutes later that the game is actually over!

Congratulations to both teams, and good luck tonight. Congratulations to baseball fans who literally got to see a complete second game.

Didn't feel that special as a Jays fan lol.

Pretty crazy game. I can't believe the Jays hung with them after removing many of their best hitters in the 6th-8th innings.

I'm so impressed with Toronto after that game.

Frankly, LA is lucky to be still alive right now. Toronto has been the better team by a wide margin.

I tried searching for games where one team had 8 hits, 0 errors, and the other had 4 hits, 1 error. Unfortunately, the AI's I tried were not too helpful.

However, I am guessing that in those and similar games, the 8 hit team usually won. The Blue Jays had some very bad luck on what had looked to be an excellent inning. And, might I add, some very good fielding by LA. That long hit to center field goes an inch higher or lower, and there is a good chance the runner scores from first. Another couple of inches, and he is back safely on second and the game is still live. So many little things.

Game 7 is going to be pretty interesting.
