WMU will start a little slow and then find their groove on both sides of the ball...win 31-27

RE: North Texas
Nothing wrong with the schedule itself. Upper B1G, Lower B1G, G5 and FCS seems fairly standard.

There's a depth chart this week in the game notes, but it's pretty much what we saw in week 1. Some guys that before the season we expected to contribute are nowhere to be found, possibly injured. No Jordon Thomas, Marvin Smith, Popeye Williams, Domanick Moon (I think he's injured), Cole Cabana (injured).

We could really use cabana. Taylor was asked this week about injuries and he really didn’t say anyone was “out”

What's wrong with Williams??? We need him.

When has that ever happened? What year specifically?

And before you say it, this years schedule when booked is no different than 2016.

This is a winnable game, and while I'm sure the coaching staff wants to see both QBs against a more comparable team, I would prefer that we go in with Jones and if he falters then Lowry can come in to replace him. But if Jones plays well again, and we bring in Lowry and he does worse, then what are we doing here?

It is one thing to have a rotation against a B10 school that we never beat, it is another to do this at the home opener against a presumably beatable G5 opponent.

Because both guys are inexperienced there might also be some value in just giving them both game experience. I’m a worry type, so naturally it comes in my mind, what if that preferred guy gets injured, and the second guy is not really ready to step up for MAC play? So there is that.

I can see that, for sure. I guess my biggest issue with it is that I believe the offense should be getting reps in with a consistent group. If they're splitting time in practice 50/50 (which I don't know), then the line needs to deal with different cadences, WRs need to adjust to different timing with passers, etc.

I mean I get it, as a coach you want to give both players a shot at being QB1, but I just think that hard decision should have been made after the Sparty game and going forward we should have a more defined 2 deep. They've had an entire camp plus a game to figure this out.

It could be that Sparty's defense was very good, and we will see a much more competent Bronco offense tomorrow. Hopefully we can run the ball, and not be reliant on either of the QBs needing to throw the ball all over.

Go Broncos!

Spread is up to 11.5 now.

This one feels winnable but not sure we do…
