Paul Finebaum says Clemson should be the first ACC team invited to the SEC over FSU.

“I feel far more strongly saying that it is not Florida State than anyone else. Just go back two years ago. We all watched that circus going on down there. Not only that, we saw the program implode last year, which doesn’t help you in any way.

You put Clemson against anyone in the upper level of the SEC, and it’s a far better game than it would be than if you put Florida State against them.”

I would like to hear what FSU thinks their current chances are of getting a P2 invite. Would love to hear some rumors from FSU money donors or admin.

There is only one story going around and it has been the same for two years.

Florida State must handle ACC GoR issues on its own. If given more than one P2 option, the school will still conduct due diligence.

Part of me wonders if the B1G will throw everything at getting to 20 with Florida St and Miami. The Seminoles have snubbed an SEC invite before so it’d be par for the course and Miami is seems more B1G than SEC. From there, I think the SEC looks at Clemson, Duke, Kansas, and North Carolina.

That would be a fantastic foursome if FSU can’t get the votes and Virginia or VT are not options in the SEC.

I used to root for FSU. Nothing in particular has changed that, that I know of, but the love I had for them as a non-fan of the school has completely waned. I see them playing now and more often than not rooting against them, which is the opposite of what it used to be. I think they have ruined their own reputation in general. Despite winning a natty, it all started with Jimbo.
