Oh my god Adams had an open layup under the basket and didn't realize. UNT with a chance to win the game, 16 seconds left down 1.

Geez, Flores had the open 3, doesn't shoot, and we end up with a clock violation. 03-banghead

We passed up some decent opportunities on that last possession…

Great D forces TO. Rice ball with 4.0 seconds. Just get the ball inbounds.

Good teams find ways to win games they probably should've lost. Alexis hit big shots in the 3rd and 4th, Adams made key passes in the 4th, Battiston hit key shots in the 4th, Hayes bodied the conference POY for most of the night and I thought was pretty effective in the second half. Good fight, especially when UNT went on runs.

Ball game! 02-13-banana Whew!

A win is a win is a win. 16 straight. D finally stepped up in 4Q.

Alexis: 16 points (4-8 FG, 3-5 deep), 6 boards, 2 steal-- all in 2H.
Hayes: 14 points (5-11), 3 boards, 1 block, 1 steal
Ennis: 13 points (3-8 FG, 3-6 deep)
Adams: 7 points (3-7 FG), 8 boards, 4 assists, 1 block, 1 steal
Battiston: 11 points (3-8 FG, 3-6 deep), 2 assists
Flores: 6 points (2-10 FG), 3 boards, 5 assists, 6 steals

Despite UNT's 45-31 rebounding edge, the difference in the game was 3-point shooting. UNT was 1-9; Rice was 9-21.

Crazy win. Didn’t expect it but this team has a lot of confidence and fight in it.

North Texas played well but their fans should wonder why they didn’t go to Nestor on the offensive end once in the final five minutes.

Gritty win. Wouldn’t want to face UNT for a third time in the conference tournament.

Will we finally receive some AP votes now? Getting a little crazy…

Would not be surprised if Nestor transfers out from North Texss next year. Best center in the American confetence. Good win and we finally ran a successful press.

Nestor has played four years...three years at Wayland Baptist and one year at North Texas. I doubt she will be able to transfer.

I feel like this site is constantly auditioning to be in the next State Farm commercial.

“You wanted to hear from an Owl fan like Dragon or Walt or Houston Owl. And instead, you get (I’ll let others insert their user name of choice at this point).”

Next up, Wichita State (5-20 overall, 2-10 AAC, 1-7 road) should be a laugher tomorrow night at Tudor, however, their last win (3 weeks ago) was at ECU, proving on any given day... Let's not play down to the competition as we did against Memphis last week.

South Florida beat Tulsa last night. Those two are now tied for third place each with four losses.
