That's an old joke that I remember an uncle telling many years ago, and it's evergreen. Amid the rise of Islamist influence across the world, specifically in Western countries, France has decided to do what it does best: Preemptively surrender.

French President Emmanuel Macron announced on Thursday that he and his nation will formally recognize a "Palestinian State," rewarding the murderous terrorists who still control Gaza and the West Bank. That will officially take place at the UN General Assembly, set to happen in September. Hamas was quick to take advantage, thanking Macron and stating that this new "state" will include all of Israel with Jerusalem as its capital.

And here you go...Ham[a]s welcomed Macron's statement: "We see it as a positive step in the right direction towards achieving justice for the Palestinian people and supporting their legitimate right to self-determination and the establishment of their independent state with Jerusalem as its capital over all the occupied lands. This is a political development that indicates the strengthening of international recognition regarding the justness of the Palestinian issue."

In an attempt to cover his own backside, Macron ended his statement by saying that Hamas must be "demilitarized" and that this new "Palestinian State" should fully recognize the sovereignty of Israel. Expectedly, he doesn't bother to explain how he plans to accomplish any of that, nor does he hinge his recognition of said "Palestinian state" on those things being agreed to. They are just idle words from a weak man who leads a weak country that is more than happy to wither away at the hands of Islamists, both domestically and abroad.

On Friday, the news got worse, though. According to President Donald Trump, Hamas immediately pulled out of negotiations in the aftermath of Macron's pledge.

In other words, Macron just doomed what hostages remain alive in Gaza to almost certain death by giving Hamas this lifeline. Why would the terrorist group negotiate when they know the Eurotrash are going to give them what they want anyway? All the while, this represents another stab in the back from America's supposed European "allies."

Trump was working to get a deal done, and the French nuked those efforts for nothing more than backslaps from terror-supporting governments at the UN. It's pathetic, and it's getting really old. America pays for most of Europe's defense. We have a GDP per capita that nearly doubles that of the Europeans. Our economic might is the only reason they can somewhat maintain their socialist welfare states, and this is the thanks we get.

Israel has already scoffed at the ploy, as has Trump, who called the move irrelevant. U.S. Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee went so far as to joke that France didn't say where this supposed "Palestinian state" would be, suggesting it should be in France. Good. Make fun of them because the French aren't good for anything but comedic fodder.

Better add a secret kill switch to that new sub for when the Islamist own it.

The best way for Russia to conquer France would be to leave them alone. Control under Islamic mobs will be much worse than being under Russian control.
