Also, I remember seeing an article on Yahoo a couple of months ago about how scientists think they have found a difference in the DNA of mothers of multiple gay children and mothers of straight children. I couldn't find it when I looked though.

The conservatives always want to take away peoples' rights. I say let gays adopt, it's none of conservatives' business anyway. These people always want to create myths and lies under the name of Jesus Christ and even love to scapegoat gays to put fear in peoples' minds (such as Paul Cameron from the Family Research Institiute). Yet to these people this is considered "teaching the love of Christ". News flash, it's no better than what the Ku Klux Klan preaches either.

Sophandros Wrote:BTW, if God frowns on homosexuality, what did God say about David and Jonathan's relationship? Why didn't Jesus say anything about it?

I'm not touching this thread with a 10 ft. pole. I was just reading the front page and I saw this quote. I hope that before now someone has pointed out to you that David and Jonathan didn't have a homosexual relationship. That would be pure speculation on your part...and it's ridiculous...it's about like those who claim Paul was gay because he never took a wife.

wow what a dumb thread. i'm sorry but having two loving parents, regardless of orientation, is much better than being an orphanage or, even worse, an abusive situation. i know several gay parents and ever single one of their kids is as well-balanced and "normal" as can be. much better than some kids i know from heterosexual couples. i just don't see the big deal. gesh, what ever happened to america's libertarian streak. the one that said government isnt the answer, and let people do what is right for themselves and their families.

Why, because there are unique things that children learn from both the mother and the father. No matter how good a mother is, she ain't dad. No matter how good a father is, he ain't mom.

All other scenarios with what ever combinations of single or paired adults fall behind that in whatever order you want to put them, so long as it remains a loving, nurturing, safe home.

Gays ruining marriage? Please. We straight people have managed to F it up royally without the help, thanks.

I'd say the same about parenthood.

I wrote that almost 2 months ago, and let's see...

Yep, still right.
