Taking a $500 million- 1 billion dollar plane as a bribe and then expecting the taxpayers to shell out about billion to make it worthy of AF1 standards is a complete grift and runs afoul of the emoluments clause. The fact the plane is a white elephant & been on the market for the past few years doesn’t change that fact, it just makes him look like a fool.

If he wants the plane, then he needs to work out the particulars in 2028.

Did you miss the part where the current AF1 is 40 years old, is near the end of its operational life, and there is currently no backup plane at all (the backup was recently retired due to structural issues), which purpose this plane immediately fills?
