Perhaps. But even that year, there were some clear signs of hope for GOP. Clinton got 43% in ’92, while Trump got 50% last year. Also in ’93 there was special election for a US Senate seat in Texas to replace Bentsen after he was named Treasury Sec. under Clinton. Result was GOP 67.3, Dem 32.7 — sign that the South had moved away from Dems not just voting for prez., but for congress and down ballot offices as well.

Everything we’ve seen in public since Nov. 5 says that majority of the Dems are in denial and are unwilling to yield/compromise on anything. A few people like Fetterman going a different direction, but the overwhelming majority still focused on FuckTrump chants & similar messaging.
