It could also just be a market overreaction. Markets hate uncertainty. What if the tariffs ultimately result in a more advantageous long term trade deal with Canada and Mexico?

It’s too early to judge the results.

In a few years, the market will be higher than ever, but real purchasing power will have also increased, and not been wiped out by inflation because it represents real growth.
