NEC Preseason Polls
Last fall was not kind to the Cougars as they began NEC competition. With the exception of Volleyball, most teams finished either near the bottom, or dead last. The Cougars competed much more favorably in the Winter and Spring seasons to be sure.

The polls don’t favor the Cougars this season.

Women’s and Mens cross country, each are picked 10th

For those looking forward to the Cougars entry into the NEC football fray in 2026, here is a preview of this Fall’s picks.

Chicago State and New Haven will both have NEC squads in 2026, as UNH will not play a full conference slate in ‘25. St Francis will depart after this season, leaving the NEC with an anticipated 9 squads in the 2026 season.
