SUU came out swinging tonight and had the Cats slightly at the half. ACU made the adjustments though and never looked back. Final in Moody tonight was 75-59 ACU.

UT and UVU in OT at 68 a piece!!

UVU wins as UT misses a 3 pointer at the last second, 79-77.

So far, after last night, the WAC looks like the below. ACU is back up to 5th place, right below Tarleton who we have one win against and above UTA who we have one loss against.

UVU
GCU
CBU
Tarleton
ACU
SU
UTA
SUU
UT

I think three through seven will be a dogfight and in the end, the seeds will mean little in the tournament.

I think you are correct, and seeing how UT took UVU to the final second of OT proves it. UT is in last place but several of their losses have been by just a few points. They have already beaten Tarleton once. Three through seven have already been beating each other up.

It was another dog fight tonight in Arlington. The Mavs could do nothing right at first, but gradually came to life near the end of the first half. Second half, it was like a different UTA team. They went on a 10-0 run, took the lead and kept it the rest of the way, finally winning 67-57.

Nice crowd of 5,183. I guess the JTAC-NTAC rivalry is still alive.

Over-all a really good day for ACU. Men win their basketball game as well. As always, UT put up a good fight but could never get over the top. Final was 80-71. That puts us at 14-13 (6-6).

The crowd was the largest since two games in the NIT in 2017 and largest regular-season crowd since 2015.

You can definitely tell Tarleton is short-handed. There were not a lot of subs and it looked like they were tiring as the game wore on. They played a high-energy game and gave the Mavs fits at every position. That kind of play needs a good flow of subs.
