Is it time for another BRAC?
This has been talked about in other places besides here, and I don't know if SECDEF Hegseth has given it any thought.

It's been almost 20 years since the last BRAC during the Bush administration. There wasn't one during the Obama/Biden administrations, and there wasn't one during Trump's first term.

Are we overdo for another one? If so, what would it look like?

I was involved with the first BRAC in 1988. There were 3 more soon after, then a fifth maybe 10 years ago. I would say the time is right to do another one. Would look like the others, likely.

For those who don't know, BRAC means base realignment and closure. Just thought I'd mention that.

I figured, but what bases would be up for closure, especially with Fort Knox in the news about the gold.

I don't remember there being a BRAC under Obama.

I would completely review and overhaul with max focus proving tech w/o a fagoo in the room ... the brick-and-mortar consolidation would become dependent how savvy they can figgle out that portion...

therefore, it's then when congress becomes an issue ... no differently than constitutional conventionSissys and convincing the 'loyalists' TO WAKE THE FK UP...

Typo on my part. 2005. I meant 20 years ago, not 10.
