Georgetown??? SW is a complete afterthought there. I'd put Belton on the list way before Georgetown.

RE: Best College Towns in Texas 2025
Let's see, Abilene is home to ACU and the first advanced fluid fueled nuclear reactor in the history of the Nuclear Regulatory Commission, the initial or first super data center of the national StarGate A.I. project (a $500 billion national program,) and the home of the B1-B bomber and soon to have a thousand more airmen when the B-21 comes out. But best of all for me is we are ranked in the top fifty in the nation in undergraduate education and research. So, we win the WAC football championship, the WAC tennis championship and we try to keep up with Grand Canyon but our measly 6,722 students just cannot beat Grand Canyon's 102,000 students, but our endowment certainly does. Oh, and the research at FermiLab on neutrinos is very important too. But I guess Georgetown beats us.

Oops, an afterthought... who would have guessed the US National Windsurfing Team trained in Abilene on Lake Fort Phantom (hey, West Texas has great winds.) Windsurfing is an Olympic sport, and we had one junior world champion, one Olympian, and five National Champions a few years ago. A fact no one could ever guess for inland Abilene.
