I think so. I would not have been shocked to see either of them to bail.

I can see McCants not having a plan B. We were his first OL position coach job, and our line didn't exactly jump off the page as well coached. I was somewhat surprised that he was retained to be honest.

I think this hurts in the long run as his group was about the only bright spot the past few yrs. Maybe we get an upgrade w/ his replacement but only time will tell

I hate to see him go.

Best news of the off season dude was overrated....

Also McCants flirted with Georgia southern like two years ago. We had to go get him back, had Georgia southern or state in his background header.

Best news of the offseason was losing our RB coach and son of one of our largest donors???

Huge loss for us in more ways than one and that is shared by many that don't even post here that have a big stake in the program. One can only hope we can upgrade the position. Dilfer for the first time has made what on paper is some descent hires outside of McCants and Tristen, (who left on his own accord). It remains to be seen if these resent additions are an upgrade from the previous coaching staffs. It is an upgrade from Dilfer's first hires at those positions IMHO.

We were a coach retention away from starting a walkon again. Need healthy RBs and scholarships spent on good evaluations. “This guy had good offers out of hs, but has a history of injuries on both levels. Maybe he’ll give us a shot” isn’t ambitious recruiting.

Armoni Goodwin is STILL dealing with a non-throwing shoulder injury sustained before he became a Blazer. It's rumored that these insidious non-throwing shoulder injuries gradually metastasize into incurable elbow leprosy.

Glad you comprehend well. It's probably the only reason he got tha job. Let's not act like Clack didn't demote his ***. Some of those great years RBs had Heath Thomas was the position coach.
