Welp, that’s at least one spot open for April/May. Who else is in their definitive last year? Toney and Moore?

I’d prefer we stop taking chances on guys like him. The odds of this happening are way higher than they need to be.

This was clearly related to his lack of playing time.
Last year at Iona it was not.

The question is why did AK effectively bench him?

I thought he could have helped us this year.

I knew his lack of 3 point shooting might not get him heavy minutes but 10-15 anyway.

Liability and struggles on offense, affected his emotions and focus on the defensive end and on the bench.

It was also obvious that he got punished for the ID related issues during the early season tournament. But again, I will ask, who was in charge of verifying that everyone had their correct documents/ID? That is a failure of leadership, as much as a failure on the players part.

Sucks he left, bc I felt like he had the dog/edge that most of our current players don’t have.

Yax also played a part in bringing him here.

But yeah, should’ve seen this coming from a mile away. If you leave one team midseason, and have played for multiple other teams in your career, you are highly likely to do it again.

AK really needs to take a look at the type of players he is recruiting. He’s brought talent, but at least one player has left every team. I guess that’s largely unavoidable in this era of college sports, but still… it is pretty obvious who hasn’t worked out and the profile they fit.

He is not playing 10-11 guys. So I see no reason to not take a chance on a guy or two. Now if one of our 8 goes down with injury we will be forced to play guys who are just not ready.

Yeah, I know. He put big numbers at Iona last year too. I had big hopes for him.

The fact that his shooting greater than one foot away from the basked was on the level of Ben Wallace or shaq - certainly didn’t help.

We didn’t need more than defense and rebounding from the SF position from him. Was supposed to be a spark type guy when shots aren’t falling to get fast breaks for easy dunks.

I expected fewer minutes for Toney. After 2 years of subpar outside shooting who could predict he would start hitting outside shots?

I know AK mentioned he was doing it over the summer.

I thought Gordon could fill in at the 4 if we got in foul trouble.

Haven’t been this disappointed in a big since Hamga or Big Z. I knew what Smallwood was, from the jump. lol.

He made 12 of his first 24 3-pointers here. I feel he wasn't played enough in actual true offensive rotation to get a rhythm against actual 1st team defenders, but I understand why.

But no, I'm not personally surprised that he's improved his outside shooting this season as we saw glimpses of it in previous years.

I think I read that AK views Myles as a 4 for now.

I just hate it that guys burn a year of eligibility with very little playing time.
