From your keyboard to God’s ears.
+1000000… maybe will learn a lesson with his recruiting now. 2 years in a row this has happened. We’ve had multiple other guys leave mid season or basically be benched but stay on and not help… those aRe super valuable roster spots.
I just don't understand why AK with 30 years NCAA coaching experience just does not take advice from message board warriors with zero coaching experience. (Sarcasm)
I think what he is doing is what he should be doing. Getting the best players he can and then letting things shake out when they get here.
If you insist on a pure "point guard" rather than the best player you might get a pretty big drop off in talent.
Last year, I was not really concerned when White left because in the 7 games he played I just did not think he brought much to the team. So I am a bit surprised he is averaging 19.4 ppg, 7.8 rpg and 35% from 3.
Part of it is New Orleans is 345 in Kenpom. That is swac level.
I was not ready to give up on Gordon even though he was our 9th guy. If any of our top 8 get injured or in foul trouble we will wish we had him.
As far as playing 10 guys. Sounds great except the talent level drops a good bit for #'s 9 and 10. (especially after Gordon)
And there also might be more cohesion when you are primarily playing with 7 other guys rather that 9.
