Miami basketball HC resigns midseason due to NIL
In the middle of the season. This is getting bad, folks.

Quote:"At this point, after 53 years, I just didn't feel that I could successfully navigate this whole new world that I was dealing with because my conversations were ridiculous with an agent saying to me, 'Well, you can get involved [with a prospective player] if you're willing to go to $1.1 million,' and that would be the norm," he said at a news conference.

Jim Larranaga stepped down as Miami's men's basketball coach Thursday amid his 14th season at the school

That's nice. Yet, somehow, just a year and a half ago, Jim Larranaga was perfectly fine with billionaire John Ruiz putting $10 million on the table to buy Isaiah Wong, Normchad Omier and Nijel Pack to take Jim and Miami to the Final Four.

And this year they're 4-8.

So when you're losing, NIL Bad. When you go to the Final Four, NIL Good.

The billionaire oligarchs are taking everything as their playground: outer space, politics, college sports. And ruining it.

It’s been quite a while since I graduated…but in my experience, very few medical students really even consider themselves to be UAB students

The only ones in my class that acknowledged UAB sports (and this was during the Mike Anderson era) were those who went to UAB for undergrad
