RE: My take on NCAA College Sports
Great read ,,,,the bubble will burst like everything else ,,,,people (fans , family , players ) have hard time to understand they are not gonna get rich with a good amount of money for one time ,or 2 ,,,,,
TO make money in football , you need to play in college ,,get in the nfl for 5 years and survive until you are 55 to get retirement money

RE: My take on NCAA College Sports
I can’t help but think of SMU today. They are currently getting destroyed by Penn State, but they are in the college football playoffs. They are in the ACC. How and why? Money and more money.
SMU’s Money Donors
Don, I agree with you on most of your points, but money is the driving force. Too much money is involved. I just don’t see how it’s possible to turn this around.
Reduce media influence? I don’t see that happening.
Reasonable NIL regulation? Money has been under the table for years. Now it’s out in the open. Back to my point of money being the driving force. I don’t see regulations keeping it under control.
Transfer limits? Absolutely.
Separate academic and paid teams? I don’t know what to think about this topic.
Marshall won the Sun Belt Championship this season. They qualified for the Independence Bowl against Army. A coaching change resulted in a massive amount of players jumping into the transfer portal. They had to withdraw from the bowl invite. I can’t imagine the angst.
