It was a hell of a game!
MVP: Big Ten refs, who worked like they had their retirement vested in Vandy. Seriously the worst officiating I've ever seen. You know it's bad when Aaron Murray is crying foul for GT.

Nice stadium. I liked the lack of pumped in audio and the ease of getting to a concourse. Go all chair backs and it's perfect.

Props to whoever at Protective put up The Grinch split screen with the head ref on the jumbotron.

Yeah, the refs seemed to be all in for Vandy.. Probably knowing that it will another 10 years before Vandy sniff another bowl game. What the heck was that response? F_ck, F_ck You. And they even booed Santa Claus. This is not Philly 03-lmfao

I stopped at Buc-ees coming home from Hoover and saw four separate GT cars filling up to go home. Talked to one, and he left after the lightning evac. There were maybe three minutes left in the game at that point.

Loved the pictures of the concession prices at the Bham Bowl. Half as much as we pay.

Me too. But when we ask we get told to deal with it.

From what I saw of those prices yesterday, it’s cheaper than the prices at Bartow too

Why are concession prices cheaper at the bowl game?

That's pretty much what we're asking. Our prices are double those.

They’re trying to run us off. Which has worked for me, as it stands now.

My guess is that we'll be told that the prices are high because crowds are small and the merchants need to make enough to stay open. The crowd last night was three times our average attendance last season.

That or they just know that we're a captive audience with no choice.

I wish our AD would make a statement on why the prices are what they are. Honesty is the best policy.

I assume that is part of it, but even when we had decent crowds, the service was horrendous, the food even worse, and the prices somehow topped it all. I go to two titans games a year, so I know what big league teams can and do charge. When they told us the prices were in line with the area I just laughed.

As I’ve said before, we should be doing everything in our power to draw new fans in, and instead are running off the fans we do have and doing nothing to promote the product to anybody new.

I don’t know if it was done in years past, but I did notice family specials on Facebook for both the Navy and Tulane games. I think it was 4 for $80 for the Navy game, and then 4 for $40 for the Tulane game with seats in the North endzone area. I had a few friends that went to both games because of the specials.

They ever get the tailgating figured out at Protective? I know I’ve asked before, but I also know you guys have complained about hours they let y’all tailgate.

Doesn't UAB get a cut of the concessions? No UAB cut = lower price?

I believed that issue was resolved.

I always thought concessions were the same price no matter what event was going on. Were they cheaper for Garth Brooks or the Monster Truck show?

Let’s just say the Bham bowl concession prices I saw were 50-55% cheaper than our games.

I think UAB gets 50% of the concessions for our games. So maybe rather than the BJCC making less the prices just get marked up to account for UAB's cut.
