RE: Football transfers begin…
Ryan Peppins was the 1st. Roussaw the 2nd. I expect quite a few to leave. We will be lucky to win any games after most of our talented players leave. Welcome to the Ingram/Dilfer trickle-down effect!!!

What the hell are you talking about?!
I've seen some people say we should drop to FCS or Div2 and that's bullsh*t. Why even move up to AAC?
Even if Ingram or Watts were evil enough to do that, then I would hope the AAC would sue the sh*t out of UAB, Ingram, and Watts for breach of contract.

I really want to know the Zeno situation. Did he stop playing on his own call so he could transfer and keep a year of eligibility? I don't blame him if he did as we knew this was going to be Kitna's team due to Dilfer

Unless he had to sign an NDA, I'd love for BVP or someone to interview him and ask.
Any other circumstance I think that would look bad for him to talk bad about his former coach while trying to find somewhere else to land, but this Dilfer situation isn't a normal coaching situation and other coaches know that.

I’m not convinced Trent benched his qb specifically for his buddies kid. You don’t exactly want tv commentators talking about child porn charges on national tv. That tells me that room has some movement in the portal upcoming, beyond Zeno. I don’t believe Lyddy or Campbell will ever see a meaningful down.

If you don't want it talked about, you don't recruit him. Dilfer doesn't care if it is talked about

RE: Football transfers begin…
Regarding Zeno, I imagine it played out like this:
After a disappointing game vs ULM, we almost get it done in Fayetteville, before getting curbstomped by Navy at home. Zeno hurts his non-throwing shoulder in this game.
Then, after the Tulane game, it becomes clear to most of us (including Zeno) this team is going in the tank. Seeing as Dilfer persuaded him to stay rather than take some $ in the portal, Dilfer feels like he needs to do right by him. (This, ironically, I feel may be one of Dilfdo's best qualities...I think he actually does care for the welfare of the players. Maybe he shouldn't openly be so excited about them getting "better gigs," but that's another story.)
So, Zeno (and I believe Jacobs) agree to sit the rest of the season to get the waiver before moving on. Dilfdo agrees not to talk about it until the season is over, and pledges to support them.

Exactly another issue I have with Dilfer. CP QB that is only playing in the AAC because his NFL daddy is friends with Dilfer. It's nepotism and just more bad press. He's also not worth the bad press.

That’s what I think, too. Kitna would’ve been the starter out of the gate if he had wrong intentions, based on a favor for a friend. The situation still ticks me off, because it’s a “we’re mailing it in” decision and there’s still 4 home games on the schedule I already paid for. So, this instance of Zeno sitting out will never sit right with me

They hired Bill Clark away from Jacksonville State knowing they would shut down the program at the end of the year. I wouldn't put anything past these snakes.
