Well-to-do "Progressives" virtue signal like they are Rosa Parks, but in reality they are cowards wanting others to do the dirty work and suffer the consequences of mounting the "resistance".

"Progressives" have enjoyed a double standard of the law enforcement during Biden's term. (e.g., J6 rioters severely punished what true insurrectionists like CHOP (link) go free). That ends now.

And the advice probably went like this.

I got a kick from a city mayor stating that he would follow the city sanctuary law and that was his reasoning on why he would oppose illegals getting arrested. Heck, I'm not even a mayor but at least, if I remember right, federal laws supersede city or even state laws in some instances and this is one of those instances. To oppose is to resist federal law and are subject to arrest, and their title of mayor doesn't carry any weight...at all.
