It was always going to be land for security. Its the only possible deal. If Ukraine balks, the US aid stops. If Putin balks, the US aid goes into overdrive...plus ending sanctions is slowly becoming a bigger need for the Russians. I really think Trump can get a deal done. He's done a very good job of not poisoning the negotiating environment.

In other words, Russia funds itself. We run on borrowed money. If we didn’t have trillions of debt propping up our economy now, we would completely shut down and we all know it.

Yawn. Russian Central Bank with bleak economic projection for Russian economy. IMF concurs. Ruble in free fall. Russian stock market down almost 40% since 2022. Inflation at 8%. Interest rates at 21%. The crashing ruble likely to push up Russian inflation rate. lol---but sanctions had no effect....everything is super duper awesome.
