One former Harris aide told the outlet, "She doesn’t have to decide if she wants to run for something again in the next six months," adding, "The natural thing to do would be to set up some type of entity that would give her the opportunity to travel and give speeches and preserve her political relationships."

The vice president will soon be out of the job, and she is reportedly working with aides to plan on how Harris will spend her time to push back on Trump as he enters the White House in January. One person close to Harris claimed that "there will be a desire to hear her voice" in the coming months with Trump as president, per the outlet.

Prior to Harris replacing President Joe Biden on the ticket for the 2024 campaign, she was one of the most unpopular vice presidents in recent memory, having a favorability rating of around 36 percent in March 2024, per Real Clear Polling. One NBC News poll in 2023 found that she hit a record low at 32 percent favorability. That favorability rating shifted on a dime in July when Biden resigned his presidential nomination for the Democratic Party, and she took his place.

After her loss against Trump, the Democratic Party as well as White House staff erupted in infighting, so even some Democrats may question her prospects going forward for a second presidential run.

Like I said, she'll be back in 2028. I doubt she'll settle for being the Governor of California.

She can't win in 2028. She might as well go for gov instead and stay there.

Pubs will have Vance or DeSantis or Vivek or somebody. Maybe two of them on the ticket.

I would be all-in for that.

I do believe, though, that there will be a female on the ticket, either #1 or #2. I don’t have anyone in particular in mind, but just think the political situation will put a lot pressure to go in that direction.

I pray she runs in 2028.

She won't be the nominee for either if she has to actually run for it against other people.

In Kamala's defense, if I lived in a fantasy world where everything was just handed to me I would probably think I was still a viable candidate too.

For a party that can’t tell you what a woman is they sure make a big deal about having a woman be president.

You know Obama is going to pull whatever strings he has to pull to get her the governor ship of California in 2026 so that she can spend a couple years trying to polish her résumé and will right into the primaries in 2028. They decided five years ago that she was going to be president someday. Problem with that is the people who actually vote think she's a ******* clown.

In fairness, she did earn the US Senate seat fair and square back in 2016, when Barbara Boxer retired. But yeah the VP nom. was simply handed to her in 2020, and the P nom. was simply handed to her in 2024.

The various ideological hoops that Dem. candidates have to jump through — and want the voters to jump through them, too — is a big part of why Trump has been so successful against them.
