7 (I think it's 7) counties in Oregon are trying very hard to become part of Idaho.

They have been up to that for a while now. Western Washington the same.

Hadn't seen her since, but I ran into her before the A&M-Missouri game earlier this year. We chatted for 10-15 min about kids, A&M, etc. She seems like the same person I knew, but much more intense today. I think she'll make a wonderful Secretary of Agriculture.
Does she have any experience in agriculture? Looking at Wiki she had a degree in agriculture, but the site only talked about her working as a lawyer. Didn't say when she got her UT law degree, only that her bachelor's was in 1994.
Heard Kelly Loeffler was considered (former GA senator). Kelly did grow up on a farm, but I don't think she really had any ag experience as an adult.
Having experience in the field isn't essential, but Agriculture is one of those departments where it is really helpful.
You'll be pleased to note that she was the President of the "tu law society" (a real group for Aggies working on a law degree at UT) while she was at Texas. I believe that she got her law degree immediately after school, or started on it very soon after graduating from A&M.
A lot of the kids in student leadership were Ag majors when I was in school. Her path since graduation has been more in state-level, and more recently federal-level politics, but she does have a background in Agriculture.
Trump was floating her as a possible Chief of Staff, he seems to think very highly of her. Looking at the qualifications (or lack thereof) of many of his Cabinet nominees, I'd guess, even if I didn't know her, that she'll be one of his better ones. Knowing her, I think that she'll kick ass and take names. I'm hopeful that she uses this job as a springboard to run for Governor when Abbot retires, though I don't think that she's interested unfortunately.

I should be a political writer.
Clean break. No alimony or child support for either side.

Deal. Now we just need to divide up the property fairly, and where do we sign?
Of course, our side will have to build a lot of border walls to keep from getting flooded when your economy hits the skids.

Trump fills his top 15 Cabinet posts:
1. Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. – Secretary of Health and Human Services
2. Lori Chavez-DeRemer – Labor Secretary
3. Scott Bessent – Treasury Secretary
4. Marco Rubio – Secretary of State
5. Pete Hegseth – Secretary of Defense
6. Pam Bondi – Attorney General
7. Doug Burgum – Secretary of the Interior
8. Brooke Rollins – Agriculture Secretary
9. Howard Lutnick – Commerce Secretary
10. Scott Turner – Secretary of the Department of Housing and Urban Development
11. Sean Duffy – Secretary of Transportation
12. Chris Wright – Secretary of Energy
13. Linda McMahon – Secretary of Education
14. Douglas Collins – Secretary of Veterans Affairs
15. Kristi Noem – Homeland Secretary

So who is the weakest link or worst choice here?
Wasn't Chavez-Demer a Covid freak? I may have her mixed up with someone else? [Update to this - it was his Surgeon General choice]
My personal favorite is actually Bondi. That choice went from his worst pick to his (IMO) best.

Surgeon General pick is Dr. Janette Nesheiwat. Rep Mike Waltz' wife.
Bartlett has been saying the same thing. I never noticed it personally, but I rarely unmute the TV for medical stuff.

You mean the counties that contribute to 70% of the GDP?

No, I mean all the counties where Trump didn't improve his % of the vote count from 2020.
Which means we will have to herd all you loons into one county, and wall it off. Might get crowded.

Full on starvation in 2 months for those who survive the initial 4 weeks of rape and pillaging.
