Crow on the Menu: Bucks Cty, PA Election Official Meekly Walks Back Controversial Com
Quote:It was just on November 14 that video emerged showing Bucks County, Pennsylvania election officials bragging about blatantly breaking the law and counting ballots that were misdated or undated. The officials were discussing the Senate race where Republican Dave McCormick defeated Democrat incumbent Sen. Bob Casey, yet Casey was refusing to concede.
In the meeting, Bucks County Commissioner Diane Ellis-Marseglia unleashed a line that perfectly encapsulates the hubris of Democrats:
"We all know that precedent by a court doesn’t matter anymore in this country and people violate laws any time they want," Ellis-Marseglia said in a clip that has since gone viral on social media. "So for me, if I violate this law, it’s because I want a court to pay attention to it. There is nothing more important than counting votes."
Naturally, the remarks sparked a furor, and the PA Supreme Court issued an order to basically “stop the steal.” Even Gov. Josh Shapiro, who had remained silent as this was happening in his state, said they had to respect the ruling.
Now suddenly the tough-talking Ellis-Marseglia sounded a lot less like a lion and more like a lamb:
It’s time for crow for lunch:
Facing a packed meeting before an outraged public, Ellis-Marseglia read out her apology on Wednesday – in between jeering and calls for her to resign.
"Last Thursday, when I spoke at the meeting that you’re all here about, the passion in my heart got the best of me, and I apologize again for that," she said. "That was a hearing, and we were talking about provisional ballots. We were specifically talking about the fact that there were certain provisional ballots where a judge of elections did not sign and did not make sure that a voter signed on the outside envelope. To me, it was frustrating and unconscionable that we would have to take away somebody’s vote not because they made a mistake, but because an employee, one of our members … one of the judges of elections didn’t know what to do or forgot or made a mistake. That issue that I spoke on has now gone viral from my comments. It was genuinely not the best words. I would do it all again. I feel terrible about it. I should have been more clear, please, I will be more clear in the future." [Emphasis mine.]
“I should have been more clear.” No, ma’am, you were perfectly clear—you think you’re above the law because you’re a Democrat.
For all the talk that Trump and the GOP were dangers to Democracy, it’s actually the Democrats who tried to illegally affect this election—at least in Bucks County. Ellis-Marseglia looked humiliated in her remarks, and she deserves to be.

When someone angrily yells "I made a mistake" during a faux apology, they are not sorry about anything except that they got caught.

I think someone whispered in her ear that she might have admitted to felonies on camera. What a dumb***.

So, what about the ballots that were illegal and still got counted. What is the deal there? Sure, she said she made a mistake but she's about as believeable as Schiff who lie with a straight face. She still should be charged and not allowed to serve in a public elected office again...after serving time.

Ballots didn't start getting counted until yesterday.

"Making a mistake" is not what she did. She quite willfully and knowing broke the law. She cannot claim ignorance when she says I DON'T CARE WHAT THE LAW SAYS, I AM DOING IT ANYWAYS and it is on camera. Oh and not the kind of camera that the MOB is on when they cut and clip and remove context, it was the FULL UNEDITED CLIP.
I mean seriously WTF? How she not already charged with a crime.

"I mean seriously WTF? How she not already charged with a crime." Eldonable
A little fat woman came to the mike and told her she was pressing charges. Maybe those are the ones Diane-Ellis is so worried about.

She's not upset about "getting caught". She's upset---and essentially in shock----to find out her arrogant world view of an era where Democrats can openly cheat in elections is now over. She has no idea how to live in a world with election integrity.
