School resource deputy assaulted by parents
If this is the example at home, then you can understand why his kid assaulted a female classmate.

Learned behaviors, and people wonder why kids are so evil these days. The parents need to go to jail with the kid.

We can’t even run schools without having a police station inside every one.
Did you hear that “resource officer” (cop) doing her condescending copsplaining to the parents? Chances are she knows nothing about kids, education, teaching, schools, or anything but being a cop for adults.
Ever tussle is starting to end in criminal charges for young kids because this society is F’ed up and is never go8ng to get better.
If there is any way we can screw a situation up that also costs a fortune and helps take the focus off of the real goal of any element of society, guaranteed this country is all in for it.

She was begging for it by being a cuunt about things. Her attitude was a big part of the problem. And that’s partly why people hate cops.

Yup! Her condescending attitude, and holier than thou approach is what started it all, following them down the hall, berating them, sealed the deal...
She was asking for it at that point..

I didn't see any condescending attitude. I thought she was pretty patient with them. She was factually describing what would happen next. He got incredibly insulting and she stayed calm. But following them down the hall was stupid. The guy had calmed down a little.
I couldn't really figure out what happened in the scuffle with the video. Not sure who did what.

The minute she followed him was her mistake. That escalated tremendously. I think she knew what she was doing and wanted him to react and get arrested. He had calmed down when he left the office.

I was waiting for the guy to jump over the desk after her.
The dude was leaving. Tuff girl just had to follow him out and did nothing to de-escalate the matter, if not provoking him.
And I'm sorry, but I just have to wonder how objective was Angie Dickenson in filing a battery charge for the boy "pushing" a girl??? If the kid picked up a rock and started beating her with it, fine. But a jr high kid pushing another? I'd say that happens fairly often in every school in the country.

Am I seeing something different than you guys? I don't see where the SRO did anything wrong. The parents are jackasses who are enabling their son. The SRO was polite to the parents, let them vent, then when they were getting hostile, she told them to leave. She escorted them out of the building. That's what she should do. They're not free to wonder a round the building. The father is probably going to get blasted by the prosecution for resisting with violence.

Flip the coin the other way and the dude hits an admin or kid on the way out and people would want to know why she didn’t escort all the way out.
Depending on how the office is set up (open or isolated from rest of school) she may be required to escort out to make sure they don’t turn back into the school.

She was right behind him. It was de-escalating. She could see that he was getting out without being so close to him. That is clearly what triggered the escalation. They were leaving and she was right behind him saying you have to leave over and over.

Contrarian POV. The guy was acting out. She has to follow him because she has to make sure he takes a straight path out of the building for the safety of the students and staff.
She was completely professional until, and mostly after, the guy just started trying to berate and bully her. Our local grade school principal was stabbed in the neck a few weeks ago by a parent. Luckily he will survive, but a high level of precaution is warranted these days.

You can follow without being close enough he can put his hand in your face. Its obvious that set him off again.

Or you stay close enough to be able to meaningfully act.
You’re victim blaming and excusing the lack of control of the parent.

No I'm not. Security and police officers have to use judgement to avoid letting things get out of control. That's part of their job. She had it under control and then did something stupid.
