It was overturned due to procedural error, in that there was a deal in place that he was relying on. Do I think the deal was a bad deal? Absolutely. It was an atrocious deal. But the state gave their word and they went back on their word. So while I hate that Smollett's basically getting away with demonizing half the country, the state shouldn't have reneged on the deal they made with him. They're doing that ended up violating his right to due process, according to Kerri Urbahn.

What's important to note is Smollett is still a race-baiting liar, and the state royally screwed up at every turn. This whole thing just stinks to high heaven.

And before anybody comes after me, I know we can all agree this was a crappy situation all around.

Maybe some real MAGA people will take care of it.....
