Rs finally have the Alaska seat called for them
That takes the official count to 219-213.

That leaves 3 seats uncalled. Two are in California. Each party has a narrow lead in one, with 96% and 97% of the vote in. The third is in Iowa. The R has a 800 vote lead with 99% counted.

So the Rs should get to 220, and perhaps 221.

Alaska is represented by what it's people actually want again. Tho I suppose it's good a minority voice got to represent the state for a bit

The fact is, both Anchorage and Juneau are slowly developing into miniature versions of Seattle/Portland. That reckoning is still a decade or so away, but Republicans are going to have to hustle to keep AK red.

Mary Peltola was able to capitalize on a few different factors to win this seat 2 years ago, and she could’ve kept it going for a while if she had been willing to vote at least semi-conservative in Congress. But she wasn’t willing to do that.

The democrat won in 2022 because of the ranked voting process in Alaska. That process was voted out and won't be used in future elections.

Incorrect. Begich won under ranked choice voting this time, and ranked choice voting was narrowly retained by the voters in this same election. Hopefully this race will help the GOP see that ranked choice voting does not favor Democrats, it favors less extreme candidates who are acceptable to a majority of the electorate.

Disappointed it wasn't voted out, Ranked voting choice could let the 3rd place candidate on first ballot win the election. If I were faced with a Ranked ballot 2nd and 3rd choices would be write-in candidates.

03-lmfao and Harris was going to win Florida. If a leftist says something is good for us you can pretty much guarantee that it's a bad idea.

Radical extremists like these:

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, NY-14
Ilhan Omar, MN-5
Ayanna Pressley, MA-7
Rashida Tlaib, MI-12
Jamaal Bowman, NY-16
Cori Bush, MO-1

Greg Casar, TX-35
Summer Lee, PA-12
Delia Ramirez, IL-3

These liberal nut jobs would never have been defeated with ranked choice voting. In the present system activists of either party can target a candidate in the primary and general election.

RCV reduces the chance there will be two candidates from opposite sides of the political spectrum. RCV is a cancer used by Marxists to game our elections.

Florida, Texas, and Iowa were all going to flip to the Dems. I wonder what happened...?

Oh, yeah. This.

States need to pass laws where you can count the early vote and mail in when it comes in. Waiting until election day to start seems a bit nuts.
