SpaceX still needs to work out some of the kinks, but that was very impressive regardless. I love watching rockets lift off into space. I just wish NASA had already had a replacement reusable space vehicle at the ready when the Space Shuttle program was phased out in 2011. There's no reason why we should've had to rely on other countries to send our own astronauts to space. None whatsoever.

Thank goodness we still have enough capital to draw smart foreign people here to do things for us.

When that tap runs dry, we’re doomed.

A certain percent of most populations has genius level thinking, but ours are drugged into oblivion on ADHD meds, otherwise stoned, in jail or running cons that make them money, but don’t actually produce anything.

It appears they have made great strides on the heat shield. On this flight they intenionally dove it hard into reentry to stress the system hard, and overall it performed better than before.

They also successfully relit a raptor engine in space using fuel from the header tank. This means the fuel xfer to the header tank in space worked, and because the engine firing in space worked, they will be able to put the starship in full orbit on the next flight. ( the engines would need to light in orbit in order to deorbit starship safely. Otherwise it would eventually come down wherever it decided to )And because of that, they could also launch some of the large v2 starlink satellites on that mission.
