For Dems it's cancel culture. They try to make it a "thing" to rally around, then they make all kinds of noise looking for that attention they desperately seek, and beg others to join them in boycott and they ultimately fail.


For Republicans, there is no fanfare, no recruiting, no noise.... they simply go elsewhere and it seems to be significantly effective.


The only real call to arms on the right was the Bud Light thing. Everything else was / is pretty organic and just happens by itself.

When she opens back up -- IF she opens back up -- I might just go visit her shop. When they ask, "Can I help you" you know what I'm going to say.

I seem to remember one involving Target when it put out LGBT-themed stuff on display in their stores. It ultimately forced them to rethink their strategy and remove those displays. Granted, it wasn't as much of a "call to arms" as the Dylan Mulvaney/Bud Light thing, but it was definitely a display (no pun intended) of the economic power the conservative consumer wields.

She doubled down to me VIA email. The wild part (other than her being wrong), is that she does zero online sales and posted that in a state that voted majority red. She also opened every soon to be bride to an argument with her husband about using her. As a business owner, especially small, its NEVER a good idea to draw a line in the sand.

I know a lot of the First Amendment auditing videos I watch tell people NOT to call the offending businesses or police departments them to let them know how displeased they are.

Now, IF I were one to not follow their request, and to call anyway, I don’t call more than once. But if the video is more than a few weeks old, they have typically already changed their number/disconnected their phone.

I take that to mean they had a few calls already lol.

This area is fine as long as you stay outside of the city. Lakeland, Arlington, millington, Rosemark, Collierville are all nice. Germantown and Bartlett are as well, just have some sketchy parts now. I don’t go inside the city unless I absolutely have to for work reasons. 3 years ago we had season tickets to both Tiger football and hoops. We now attend about 1-2 of each per season just because my wife and I both hate going into the city. Stupid people, blight, crime, MFs can’t drive, 75% of them probably don’t have a license or insurance. And now the city voting on restricting gun rights to law abiding citizens. Just another reason to stay out.

The city will have to buck the state on gun rights. The city will get shot down.

I disagree. I believe they were SA as young children by male adult members of their family. It just never got reported to the police, and now the effects of it are coming into full view for the world to see.
