Speaking of Gaetz's nomination, I just learned 2 things this morning, doing some quick searches..

1. Only 3 high-level nominees have not been confirmed since 1900. Gov John Tower of TX was one, denied for "excessive drinking and womanizing."

2. Recess appointments have been used hundreds of times in recent history, but usually for lower level appointments, not for Cabinet level.

Ram them through I say.

The Democrats jammed up even low level appointments in 2017-2018. Trump/Thune need to work around that. We need Trump's people in fast.

I hope they all lawyer up at $1000 per hour rates billed at 6 minute increments.

Is it revenge if they did something illegal or bent the law to go after someone for political reasons?
