SIAP: Pete Nakos (on3) on Dilfer/Ingram
"Athletic director Mark Ingram’s future may be tied to Dilfer’s, sources have said. Sources tell On3 they expect UAB to open up."
Thought the note on Ingram was interesting.

Athlon is the absolute worst. All they do in regurgitate what some other website has said and shove it onto your homepage.

We’ll see. I’d rather see effort to win out than a mail it in. The coaching market and AD market is going to suck.
It’d be quite a refreshing story to win 5 in a row on the back half of the schedule to reach bowl eligibility.

The thing that bothers me the most is how hard it is to tell the difference anymore. I don't want to read **** like this, but I end up on it because I don't know it's some dumb ass with an iPad in a Starbucks who can't write and has no actual information but types it up anyway and hits send and gets paid when I'm dumb enough to click on it. There are still great writers and journalists out there, but they're too damn hard to find. My entire news feed is filled with nonsense like "Steelers would land Maxx Crosby if this trade happens." And you're like, what, the Steelers might get Maxx Crosby? Oh, wait, no. Some rando fan who submits nonsense for free just turned pure unfiltered speculation into an article and the site tricked me with a headline. Garbage.
And that's what this is too. Garbage. I can guarantee that guy doesn't have a single source saying this who actually knows anything. It could happen, of course, but if it does this idiot would have just guessed right.

Unfortunate, the market especially sucks if you’re UAB.

Amen!
In George Orwell’s novel 1984, the controlling Party controls the past by rewriting history. The true past no longer exists. That dumb*** with an iPad at Starbucks has no sense of the truth, and doesn’t care.

Pete Nakos is a good reporter. His sources might be wrong but he wouldn’t publish it on a whim or make it up.

I’d take losing out if it truly meant both were gone.

And y’all question my Fandom?
I’d never take a loss in hopes of a firing.
PS: that’s a good way to run off your team…. and fans, to be honest.

If it meant both ADMI and Dilfsaster are gone, I pray that we lose every remaining game in a blowout.
We need both of them gone in the worst way, for all of our sports programs.

Winning cures all. If they demonstrate the ability to go undefeated the remainder of the schedule or reach and win a bowl game….thats improvement and worth additional time. Im reasonable.

I don’t question your fandom, you have irrational outbursts. Dilfer, and more so Ingram, have already severely damaged the football program. Two more years of this is going to put us in an even worse spot. It’s an easy sell right now to tell recruits we aren’t going to let the top fail at their jobs and continue to hang around. 2 years from now, it would be four years of a dumpster fire we would have to explain.
I can deal with a lot of things from a coach, but he is damaging relationships with high school coaches, slandering our program publicly, and competing with McGee for the most incompetent coach we’ve ever had. I was on board with giving him time to try and turn things around this year, and largely defended him last season. But I am all out now, and I hope he is soon too.
