Regarding Bryant and Robert Morris football, now that both schools are no longer in the NEC, it probably makes more sense for Bryant to drop the sport and Robert Morris to go to the scholarship-less Pioneer League.

The WIU addition makes it increasingly likely that the arrangement with the Big South will be short lived, since they are superfluous. Maybe the 2 Carolina schools get to stay, but the northeastern ones just don’t make sense.

Bryant would probably just get curb stomped as an Indy playing CAA, NEC, Patriot, and Ivy schools.

Robert Morris might be able to survive by playing some of the MEAC schools. Pittsburgh really isn’t that far from the Pioneer’s core and I think they’d fit right in. Bryant just seems to remote for the Patriot to be financially feasible but then again the Pioneer has “islands” in NY, FL and CA.
