Davis looked like a middle school player on that one. Stopped his dribble for no reason, jumped to make the pass and tried to throw it across court laterally. Just bad

He was hurt. Your mind is trained to be two or three steps ahead of where he was once he took off and when that didnt happen you panic. It would be like a player used to playing slower teams and then suddenly getting full court pressure from a much faster team. Mental shock.

When Davis injured his ankle, it was basically the game. You could tell he was only able to go half speed. On a healthy ankle, he would have blown past everybody and FAU would have been forced to foul. Davis was majorly hobbled and still tried to go so I don’t see the point in ragging on Davis as some posters are doing. He tried to go but just didn’t have it. Memphis would not have even made the Tournament without Davis on the team.
