I gave them credit. I’ve said they are a very good team. Did you not witness us getting beat to every loose ball and rebound though? That is 100% on us.

They definitely played very well, but we gift wrapped them the game with our worst effort of the entire season.

You have called practically every loss we’ve had this season our worst game of the season so hearing it once again rings more than a little hollow. FAU whipped us. They had everything to do with us looking more and more beat down the longer the game went on. Sometimes an alpha exerts itself, and FAU was the alpha tonight because it made itself the alpha.

Our largest loss of the season in the most important game of the season. I believe it was our worst loss of the year, yes.

We’re they an alpha when we shot ourselves in the foot at their place when we were up 6 with like 2 minutes to go? We’re they an alpha when we beat them wire to wire at Bartow?

They are good. We looked like the better team against them in our first two games. But the team and coaching staff didn’t show up from the hotel. We absolutely contributed mightily to them beating our ass. It was t 100% them. Don’t be a revisionist.

Not being a revisionist at all. They’ve got 31 wins and only three losses. We’re well under that.
I think you’re missing what I’m saying: We’ve played worst games than tonight. That is, we absolutely have beaten ourselves and played down to inferior competition many, many times this season. To me, those are the worst kinds of losses. Yes, we got our ass handed to us tonight, but that had much more to do with how focused and unified FAU played, not that we supposedly came out lackadaisical or uncaring. They beat us down. They manhandled us. They did everything better than we did.
This is an incredibly painful loss, yes, because it came at the worst possible time. It came when we were playing with the most at stake. It hurts to fall so hard. But not every loss is self-inflicted. Tonight wasn’t one of those losses. Tonight, we just got dominated by a better team. 31-3.
