BG clearly got the best first round draw and weakest opponent.

Ball State just put it on Akron tonight.

EMU was without their best player, Ce'Nara Skanes. The Eagles were already thin, so they had no chance with Skanes out. Buffalo, while equally thin, has some really talented players. I thought Buffalo had a lot to do with why the game was so close.
Absolutely they played really well. What is bothersome to me is this is the 5th game in a row where our opponent nearly wins the game. Some of that has to reflect the rockets not playing up to their potential. My impression is UT is playing with the burden of high expectations.
