On an island, they may not be a great addition, but you could look at a bloc with SMU/Rice. I'd agree that anything beyond two schools is dilutive and is bracing for additional defections. I think Oregon and UW need to get out of dodge before any new in-state legislation is passed to lock them up with WSU/OSU. May not be a bad idea to plan the pivot as the next G6 conference.

Adding even two schools for the PAC (except Gonzaga as a basketball only add) is dilutive. I don’t know why people don’t realize that.

Gonzaga (full member)/Air Force (fb only) and SDSU.

Except I doubt Stanford and Cal want to be routinely slapped around by the downstate Aztecs, and Washington and Wazzou probably don’t want to see the Zags, but at least they schedule them intermittently.

SDSU has only played Cal and Stanford a combined 28 times in football AND basketball!

That’s a good idea with SDSU and AFA/Gonzaga. Makes a lot of sense. I think the PAC university presidents would also be supportive.

...but where would AFA put their 'Olympics'? They've had some fair bball teams in the past (honestly not sure as to their 'power ranking' currently)... I figure to be a MWC member, you have to have football in the MWC? I guess AFA COULD go indy, as a service academy they can swing it...

Good question. I’d bring AFA in as a full member. They can’t be much more of an embarrassment than some of the others in the league already.

They’d probably want to avoid the WAC.
