Seems as though they all think she is a very good get for UT, but that the multiple leg injuries have taken a step from her and that there is a slight concern about her ability to run the offense/be a ball dominant player at the next level. All of them said she would probably work out best as a shoot-first option, given her proficiency as a jump shooter over being a less skilled ball handler. They also were all at least mildly concerned with her moving from Notre Dame to Toledo Christian, given the decline in the level of talent and how much that might play into competitiveness overall. One of them who has connections with her through AAU said that most of the higher level options outside of Marquette stepped back with the injury, which was why her other visit prior to committing was at Belmont, more at UT's level.

Thanks for the insight, but wasn't her injury back in 2019? I don't remember hearing anything else recent - did I miss something? Seems kinda strange to be downplaying a player because of an injury that long ago unless it was debilitating, which it does not seem to have been. Heck, BSU's commit Brooke had 3 separate knee injuries in HS. All 4 of Braden's P6 offers (Pitt, Cal, DePaul & Marquette) came within the last year, with Marquette and Cal both being in the last couple months. (Not sure what the connection with Cal was to get an offer from them, as they are not typically recruiting Ohio.)

Anyway, nothing wrong with being a 2-guard, so again, don't understand why that's a "concern". Need those too, so that doesn't concern me. Of course, one never knows how a player will perform in college until they get there.

It sounded like she may have gotten hurt again the past spring (2022) from the AAU coach? Not as serious but a second issue with the same thing.

Again, they all said she will work out really well here as long as she doesn't have to rely on her athleticism and ball handling, as that is a weak spot in her game against better competition...her primary skill is shooting and that's what she will likely be doing. The "concern" was that they all think some people without knowledge of her playstyle would look at her former ranking or stats in a very bad small school league and think she'll be the do-everything kind of player when it'll probably end up being her as a secondary scorer as a kick-out shooting option. Think more of a better version of Jayda Jansen as a ceiling if that makes sense. I'm personally stoked about keeping one of the best players in the area home against good competition.
